sodly, The Mt. Pleasant show is called the Old Threshers' Reunion. This year marks the 60th anniversary. It began in 1950. It does NOT focus on steam, although there is a GREAT number of steam traction engines, in fact I would say about 50, give or take. There are about 600 to 700 gasoline and diesel tractors ranging from the pre-1920s to those that are only 50 years old. The requirement is at least 50 years old. It is a great event. It starts with a "Harvest Parade" on the Wednesday evening before Labor Day. The new TVO engine had a number of improvements which resulted in a 10 per cent more power (43bhp as against 38 bhp on the earlier engine) and 10 per cent more fuel economy.
