If we would build a couple of nuclear power plants it would equal all of the wind energy in the US. A funny thing about those wind mills. If the wind is blowing very hard they shut off. So when they could really get the energy they quit.
Ditto on all you wrote JD. They put up 6 at Detroit Metro Airport that cost $12,500 apiece. They produce 1200 watts each in a good wind. Payback is 60+ years w/o tax credits, 40+ years with a 30% tax credit (meaning you and I are subsidizing these things). I believe that every state should have nuclear power plants to produce the electricity that THEY need. Tell all the tree-huggers to take a hike and drill for oil while migrating to hydrogen fuel cell cars. Along the way, dump the EPA and it's silly rules and ideas (like "don't fill up your car on an ozone alert day") Get rid of any thought of Cap-and-Trade rules.
On another topic, I'm sick of listening to CNN complain about the poor wildlife affected by the BP oil spill. I cry more when I see video of all that good oil going to waste. :lol:
