My 86 year old father-in-law has a snake phobia that will eventually be the death of him. He says he's doing the "lords work" (he is very religious) by killing or trying to kill every snake on his property (160 acres). About a week ago he saw a black snake (it got away), but he's been patrolling the property every day (in 100+ degree temps) trying to find that snake. I live beside him and will not permit him to come on my property to kill snakes - he can't stand it. I will not kill any snake, under any circumstances, regardless of the snake. I think they are very cool animals. I've never had snake phobia, really can't understand those that do.

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
