From what I understand the first relief well has been drilled as close as possible to the blowout. Without the blown out well rupturing into the relief well. The relief still has to be cased and grouted/cemented to several thousand feet of rock. To prevent it from also blowing out. We now have to wait for concrete pumping and setting. The last few hundred feet of drilling is going to be slow. Trying to guide the relief drill bit via via echo location. Maybe time to purchase BP stock with pending good news?
