Sounds fishy to me. Below is a link to an article with a few more details.
The woman walked to a nearby fast food restaurant before 4 am and walked home, followed by two strangers who forced their way into her home and threatened her with screwdrivers. She gives them some money out of her purse, then they tell her to get naked. At that point her boyfriend wakes up and attacks the intruders. Then the woman pulls out her gun and shoots both intruders in the head. One account says both were also shot in the leg, the other says one was shot in the stomach.
OK, the news reports can't be trusted, but there are a number of things that make no sense:
How many women do you know who would WALK to a fast food restaurant at 4 am? Why did the young scoundrels wait until she got home to acost her? These two young punks can't find anything more menacing than TWO SCREWDRIVERS with which to commit armed robbery? The lady has a gun in her purse, but willingly hands over her money to two teenagers armed with SCREWDRIVERS? The woman's boyfriend doesn't wake up when she comes home, doesn't wake up when two punks break into the house, doesn't wake up when they threaten his girlfriend, but wakes up when they tell her to take off her clothes?
Try this out for size: Boyfriend comes home to find the young lady entertaining two young gentlemen of color. Boyfriend shoots said young gentlemen. Boyfriend follows up with two head shots to ensure his girlfriend's guests don't get to tell their side of the story. Boyfriend concocts story of robbery, but needs to arm the intruders. Not having anything better, he grabs a couple of screwdrivers from his toolbox and places them in the hands of the two "intruders".
