My one BIL has a 180 Massey gas that had a Continental engine. His dad bought it new. When I went to overhaul it I couldn't get parts because this model of Continental was unique to this one tractor model. It wasn't put in forklifts or anything else. I found out the first 180 gassers had this engine and then they went to a Perkins gas. I believe his is the 82'nd 180 built if I read the serial # right. BIL's relative was the head of Massey's parts division at the time. He couldn't find parts and no aftermarket suppliers listed this model. I ended up converting it to a Perkins diesel, which made it a much better tractor anyway. Jim

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
