Ya no way that the tank is going dry. Yes at times has some air in it but not enough that either one of the elements is out of water. That is also why I put the top element in the lower hole this time to see if it to burns out. Each time one goes it either has a hole in it or a missing area in it but most blow a hole in the side. Oh by the way if I do get another one can I get by with say a 4500 watt one when the heater calls for a 3800 watt one. Only one place in town has the 3800s. Thanks
