Well I don't know the rest of the story in your case, but last year I did spend a week in the car with three granddaughters, 9,11,& 13, who are sisters and sometimes it about drove me nuts. They're nice kids, but they sure can be mouthy, just like the characters on the TV programs they watch. I felt like wringing their necks at times. I'm a believer in discipline but I couldn't do a thing about the situation. Didn't bother my wife a bit but she also spent 37 years disciplining kids in her job so she was able to let it slide off her back. You mentioned the DHS, an agency my wife worked with a lot. According to them a spanking or a slap is a sudden blow and a sudden blow is assault and child abuse and when the DHS gets ahold of a case they're the gestapo. Jim
