# 1 YOU have to be able to tell your children who or what gives YOU the athority over them. If you can't do that you are probably going to have areal fight on your hands. That's why god fearing people usually have less trouble with there kids.It is not the only way but it sure helps I'm sure.
The more a kid has and is alowed to do the more trouble you will have.My kids don't have TV,cell phone ,vidio,no expencive toys.($150-200 ayear on toys MAX for 8 kids).Children need chors to do and be praised every now and then.We do not let them go to a friends after school,no after school sports,or any of those things that folks say we have to let them do this or that. They make up there own games to play and we give them lots of free time 5-6 hrs a day.
Friend of mine got rid of TV completly.says he never had such good kids.Best thing you can do is get rid of all that bad influence including not letting them go to a friends place if there a questional type of friend.
I have 13,12,11,9,7 year old girls. They all have got there share of spankings, but you have got to show love to them as well not just disapline. My dad always played with us kids and we grew to love and respect him.My friend, his dad trucked and when he came home on wekends he got diseplined for what he did wrong during the week(he hates his dad) I have been told by the teachers in school that my children are the best behaved kids in school. We do go to church but church alone don't make kids behave.I beileve that you will have to lay down strickt rules and stick to them if you want to gain back there respect.you do not have to be there freind but there DAD.With out pain some kids don't learn.1 of my daughters will break down and cry with a scolding. All kids are diffrent and what works for 1 doesn't for the other. I was asked by BIL how do you get your kids to love you. they thought if they spanked there kids they would hate them. There has to be a balance.
The best you can do in the long run make sure you spend quality time with your children, and I'm talking at home playing games,or what there interests are every day.And going shopping is not quality time,Maybe 2 or 3 times a year.
I'm not a good writer so this is jumbeled up a bit

Today's Featured Article - 12-Volt Conversions for 4-Cylinder Ford 2000 & 4000 Tractors - by Tommy Duvall. After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
