Downside is original cost of the tank. Upside is that you can choose/switch any suppliers. Gas charge is cheaper if you own your own tank- suppliers will not fill a tank owned by another company. Ask your supplier his fuel price if you own the tank- do the math. Here, it"s usually 5 cents per gallon discount. Over time......
