German worker in the office next to mine braggs that his union dues come out before tax is figured. The local national employees that work in our community belong to a union and, like ultra dog said, are some of the most miserable, cutthroat folks you'd ever meet at the workplace. Some even carry that union attitude into their personal lives.
Didn't know that US government employees had a union. We sure don't over here and hope we never get one. We've got enough whining cutthroats in our ranks without it.
Never been part of a union so don't know the details and entered the workforce long after the time some of you folks are talking about bad conditions etc. But I can't see where a guy pushing a broom should get the same pay as the guy running a million buck machine just because he belongs to a union.
