That cold front hit us last evening about sundown. I was out watching son work on irrigation sprinkler. Saw some lightening off to the north. Got the spinkler repaired and started the pump. The sound effects and lightening added to the sprinkler starting throwing water. I guess we must have insulted the rain cause all we got was what we did. Lightening was so bad we headed in to the house. Aluminum pipe and lightening can mean trouble. Eighty seven degree and cloudy. One field of Alfalfa will have water and fertilizer on it by tonight. Sure nice to apply water and fertilizer at the same time. Hope the heat doesn't get you and James down. I can just sit in my easy chair and make sure the sprinkler keeps moving through the field. If it stops I push the wireless switch to shut down the pump till someone comes. Son even mounted little solar lights on it so he can see it at night. Kind of neat to see two bright little lights moving across the field. gitrib

On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
