Our wiring is old in our house. I've replaced some as I've redone some rooms (service box is new just attached to old wires). Not real worried about a fire because there is no wood anywhere near the wiring, but still will be glad when I replace a few more.

I pulled the head, and soaked the stuck valves with mystery oil overnight, re-installed the head, and bingo, the compression returned.
