Great collection of pics. Noticed a few things that stood out to me. Knowone was smiling in those days except the tank crew, No fat people, Mike Rowe would have been in 7th heaven, seams that all jobs were hard and dirty then, In the descriptions rather than saying a family fishing along river it said Afroamerican family sort of singling them out as diff. Back then I was not quite a twinkle in my fathers eye, but My dad and mom tought me the values of hard work and appreciation for what we had. Todays generation doesn't have a clue what it took to build This country, and it has become a nation of consumption, waste,coruption, and lazyness. These IDIOTS in Washington, both sides of the isle are running this country rite into the ground. I'm glade that I'm as old as I am, because I think there are some really tough times ahead for this country, and only people our age still know how to survive and provide for ourselves anymore. Thanks again for the trip in history.

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
