Very common here in SC. An old Indian woman used the root of one to cure my greatgrandpa's rhumatiz in the early 1900's and he lived for 28 more years with no problems. If you want the recipe, My email is open. The root is the most poisonous part of the plant, so the recipe is very important. Richard
