I have mowed witha woods L59 belly mower under my Allis Chalmers B for over ten years and just had the first bearing get noisy. I took it down and am replacing all the bearings and painting every thing. The have taper bearings like wheel bearings. The bearings didn't look all that bad.
I mow 3 acres at home most weeks and mulch a 4 acre hay field a coupla times each year. I also haul it up to the factory and mow 4 avres around the buildings several times a year. Purty tuff unit. It does not do as good of a job as my 5 foot Simplicity mower I used for 15 years under a Simplicity 9523 same as an Allis 5020. I just like showing off my Allis Chalmers B.
