I have a 6 ft woods belly mower on an IH C and a 6 ft rear woods on a Jubilee. The belly mower sends the clippings out the back and sides. The rear concentrates the clippings out the right side. Had to mow the tall grass twice today to get rid of the clippings with the rear woods. If you are only going to mow once a month, that might be something to consider.
The blades on the rear mower spins much faster than the belly mower. Might have more to do with the tractor than the mower.
When you mow around anything with a rear mower, turning left and causes the mower to go right. The belly mower is better for mowing around trees..less trim work.
