We have had a great growing season here in central NY Mohawk valley region this year. It started out dry, but that allowed a lot of marginal ground to get plowed and planted which is unusual. Many farmers now cutting 3rd and 4th cut alfalfa on high ground. Small grain crops are yielding very good. corn looks great Record acrages of beans looking great, even some sunflowers. Been hot all summer with nice periods of rain spaced out making for a great haying season. T storm came earlier than predicted today about 4:00PM instead of after senset like predicted. I know that some local hay got wet this afternoon.

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
