Was driving to work about 2 weeks ago and the local weather forecast was on the radio. Actual temperature was 89° and the heat index (feel like temperature was 103° This was at 5am Actual temperature got up to 103° that day with a feel like temperature of 115°
Can remember wishing for a break in this heat but the only break we get this time of year is from rain cooled days.
Well my wish came true. 10 inches of rain in two weeks. At least it has been cooler. Only highs of mid to upper 90's.
I did notice all the farmers are in the fields planting this years crop; so fall has got to be right around the corner.
