That's a rare tractor, and I doubt you'll find any for sale. It's a Lombard Log Hauler, invented at the turn of the last century by Alvin Lombard of Waterville, Maine. (I believe that he later sold the patent rights for the crawler tread design to Holt & Best, which later became the Caterpillar Corporation.) A total of 83 of these were manufactured between 1900 and 1917, and of these, only 5 are known to still exist. (Additionally, the patented track design was licensed to the Phoenix Company in Wisconsin, which made maybe 100 additional steam-powered log haulers.)
Volunteers at one of our local living history museums here in central Maine have been restoring a Lombard during the past couple of years; it necessitated fabricating a new boiler (weighing about 6400 pounds) to satisfy stringent modern safety regulations. Their Lombard should be operational in another year or two. Visit Leonard's Mills - Lombard Log Hauler to see their page on these early tractors.
One of the other survivors belongs to Harry Crooker of Topsham, Maine; they had it steamed up & operating last winter.
Professor Herbert Crosby of the University of Maine has constructed a web page which is a great reference for those seeking to learn more about these early tractors. Click here to see more technical info and photos about steam log haulers.
If you go over to "that other site," you'll find lots more detailed info on Lombards and their half-brothers, Linn trucks.

As long as a pool was at the end of our destination she was easy to please unlike the other two who have a multitude of requirements to travel with mom and dad. Amana Colonies served as a respite where we ate a family style lunch that sustained us with more food than could reasonably fit into our ample physiques. The show at Ankeny
