Looks like I'm 3 weeks late & a dollar short. My brother and I own the plow in the pictures. It is an IH / Servis Whirlwind Terracing Plow. The plow is an IH one bottom Little Genius, and the Servis company (now Rhino) converted it with the rear auger, transmission and drive shafts. The other replies give you the details on how it worked. We purchased this one plus another from a gentleman in Nebraska who used to build terraces in his area in the 40's & 50's. I can imagine they were a hazard in rocky ground and a pulverized dirt terrace might take a while to set up and hold water.
Iowa Northeast, you referred to some advertisements. I would be interested in looking at some advertisements as it would be nice to have some something to display with the plow to explain what it does.
