Yep, had to shoot my dog this spring. It hurt me so abd to do so. I still miss her, so I can sympathise with your family. The critters sure do become one of the family. As a kid growing up, we never had a dog because my day said "nope, they become too much one of the family". He sure was right on that note. we had horses, cows, pigs, chickens and a mess of other things, but never a dog. Pass along my regrets to your mom..... I am sure she is tuffer than you think. She will mend. When some time passes, she will have another pup. It will never be the same as this dog but it will also be a true friend as well. Cal
