Sounds like opportunity knocking to me. To be sure, times are different than they have been and surely not as easy. It is still frustrating to listen to the "worlds going to he!! in a handbasket" crowd. There is still a living to be made for anyone with any sort of gumption and work ethic. It may not be doing what they want to do, or making what they want to make. Just a small case in point, took my usual night run through Craigslist last night. Stumbled upon a strapping tool listed for $95.00. Sent the fellow an e-mail saying I could give $75.00 cash and have the deal done in 45 minutes. He calls and says "come and get it". Brought it home, took pics and relisted it for $250.00. Had 3 good (and several crappy) e-mails waiting this morning when I got up. Guy picked it up a few minutes ago. Not big money, I know. But something anyone could have done. No, things arent perfect...and by no means do they look like they will get rosey anytime soon (if ever). But opportunities are still out there if you look.
