Bought a 430 CASE diesel like that , filters had water in them ,.. Changed Fuel filters after clean all gunk out of tank , I Doubt the tank silt trap had never been cleaned since it was new .... put a pint of LUCAS fuel injector cleaner with 10 gallons of Fuel ... PUT ON A NEW HEAD GSKET and 3 new VALVES,had the head planed STRAIGHT ,,Rebuilt the FUEL injectors ,, Now IT WORX great , And for Me it was worth it . I was lucky it was not worse . These are JUST some of the problems that could be wrong with that motor , There are many more that could cause misfiring .. fix one problem at a time ....
