The Massey and Fords where cheaper when new. I would never buy a tractor used that had been used on right of ways, Pipe lines and railroad are the worst. State roads aren"t quite as bad. The tractors used to do that mowing get the "H" beat out of them. Be mowing along and hit a truck tire with the rim still in it. Broke the pto shaft off of the tractor and the deck spindle shaft. Another thing you need to know. If the OWNERS have bought any other JD tractors lately then they can very well be getting a multi unit discount. That can get as high as $5000 per tractor. So like one of the other poster stated: When you sign the checks on the front then get what YOU want. Until then just be glad they are going to buy you some good equipment to work with.
