Brought in a bunch of samples today that I pulled from the feild's this am. Loewest moisture was 27.2% highest was 30.4%. Lowest test weight was 54.2# and highest was 57.4#. The 85 day stuff was the wettest and the lightest. Most test weights were 55#+. I sure hope we get some great drying weather this fall, I have alot of grain that I will have to store and the less drying the better. I have about 75% of 160 bu yeild avg sold, but yeild estimates from cob/kernal/plant counts are coming in 200 and better. Kinda nervous to sell more than I have when it isnt in a bin or reasy to combine yet. Prices sure have been good so it is tempting. Lowest '10 contract so far is $3.36 and highest is $4.41 with a total contracts average of $3.86 bushel. Sure would like to get that average up over $4.00, we'll see what happens tomorrow. Beans I still am pegged at $9.95, but that is only a 20 bu/ acre requirement to fill that contract. If I can get fall beans over $10.25 I will contract some more, but not risking it for less.
