I Think Allen hit the nail on the head. Around here the few good farmers that make round bales, wrap and stow them away in a shelter back at the farmstead. Years back farmers defined their boundries with stone walls. Today the lazy farmers build round bale walls around their property, or just farm around them. Seams like a total waste of crop, time ,fuel,and equipment. The abandon bales do make good turkey and deer blinds for hunters though.
