Two options: 1: handle it yourself. poisioning some bales as sugested is about the only efective way. It is extreme and I wouldn't do it. 2: do it leagaly. A hidden game camera might work, but if spotted, he will steal that too. To POSITIVLY identify bales, get some smoth round stock, Grind flat spots in it and get a cheap stamping set and stamp your name and date on it and drive them into the bales, They could easily be located with a metal detector. Set him up. Bale a field then "accidentaly" run into him at a store, church, or make up an excuse to visit him (Did you see a small spotted dog/ fox/ wolf/ coyote/ moose in the last couple days?????) casualy mention that you just finished baling but are taking the weekend off. Then, stake out the field with a camera and binoculars. There is a GPS tracking thing for civilians. It is about half the size of a pack of cigaretts. put it on a vehicle, and it will record that vehicles position from a couple times a minute to a couple times an hour, for two weeks. costs about 400.00. The problem is placing and retrieving it. good luck
