Just a few pics from the farm while we harvest.
A few curious calves watch corn harvest this morning as I take pictures from on top of a grain bin.
From my vantage point on the bin roof, even on a cloudy day, it is quite a view west out of Peoria county across the prarie towards Fariview.
This house was built by my great great grandfather in 1929. I remember as a young boy spending warm summer evenings with my great grandparents on this front porch as they visited with neighbors that would stop in and "sit for a spell".
The entire year culminates right here as all of our work goes up the auger and into the bin.
Just a picture from a recent evening. More and more combines are rolling everyday now. Harvest is moving along quickly for us with the nice weather we have been lucky enough to recieve. On the 16th of September we are allready thinking of completing corn harvest. What a difference a year makes!
Wrigley is rarely not at my side, even when on the bins. He isnt happy if we arent together. Guess that works both ways! Hope everyone else is getting along well. bill
