I chained up to an old "Tree of Heaven" with a 25 foot chain to pull it over; they"re pretty brittle and come down pretty easy. Problem was it was a 30 ft tree. When I saw the top coming down towards me, I speeded up to get out of its way, which of course just speeded up the fall. It landed on the fender to my right; just got a few scratches on my arm from a branch. Could have been real bad. (Here"s my sign)

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
