I guess I must be one of the most uninformed people on the universe or most people aren't aware of a phenom going on by automotive insurance companies! If you caught my post a while back when I was rearended by a semi/tanker while sitting at a red light but the insurance underwriter of the trucking company (which I won't mention) has already paid all the property damage in advance for my bike repairs. Now the medical is another story even though my medical bills are manageable fortunately the underwriter says they don't pay not one red cent until the victim is OK and willing to sign the release which could take up to two years in Ohio FYI Wisc. is three. They're expecting you or your healthcare provider to foot the bill until the release is signed. I'm passing this on to those of you who are not aware of this which is common practice by even my own vehicle insurer which number one can drive up the rates of your own health carrier at work and can cause family hardships if you're layed up in a hospital for weeks or even months with no income. This is just an FYI to those that think let that SOB hit me because he'll pay you're better off being hit by an uninsured driver. My two cents!
