jack you rear axel must come out part way to get the outer felt seal out but that is not your problem if lecking rear end greese IE 80 90 140 you need to replace axel seal on inner end of axel right behind the bull gear the outer felt is jush a dirt seal to kept out dirt and kept gun gressse in the brg Hope this helps Kent
