I have a Jubilee. Had my hydraulics apart more times than I want to tell you about and rebuilt the pump too. Pulled the pto to replace the seal. Found lots of dirt in both sections.
Case New Holand recommends you use all the same oil in the tranny, hyd and rear end: chn134d. If, you have a leaky seal, the same oil will get into the other section. CHN charges about $60/5 gallons. My last oil change I went to rural king and purchased a cheaper brand for fords. Normal price was about $27/5 gal. On sale it was about $21. I purchased 10 gal. Dirt gets in around your lift arms, the spring, axle, PTO and shifter. I figure cheaper oil changed more often is better. Other people will beg to differ with my opinion. I still say the cheaper oil sold today is far better than what was made 57 years ago. However, it's your nickle. George
