Poking around an old shed near a long ago vanished homeplace. Whole place was covered with wisteria vines. Came across a horse drawn cotton duster. Iron wheels, iron seat, wooden floor with a little wooden footrest, and square metal hopper with blower were the main features. Looked like it once sported a gas engine with chain drive to the blower. Somebody had "collected" the engine already I reckon. Looked all over but never found a name plate. Wondered who made the thing. I recollect the old house place burned when I was a boy forty years ago. I could just imagine a fellow all hunkerd over driving that thing with cotton dust blowing all around. No wonder the thing outlasted the owner.
