Larry, I'm 58. 4 years ago I had the lazer roto router procedure instead of the microwave or the knife procedure. The recovery was shorter and after effects were projected to be less damaging. I was fine for about 4 months and then I reverted back to the way I was before the procedure. I put up with it for 3 years and then I went back to get the knife procedure. During the work-up exams they found I had a small site that was cancer. I had a radical prostetcomy on Nov 11th last year. Catheter for 2 weeks, back to work by Jan 3rd. I had good bladder conroll because I did the keegle excersises the Dr gave me. Peed like a 20 year old again. Still haven't got back sessual function. I have dry organism but if the flag doesn't go up the flagpole, then no one salutes it. If the antenna doesn't extend then you get no reception-you get my point. So I go in next week for the implants. My BIL in SE Ohio has the same story. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS "NERVE SPARING" RADICAL PROTATECTOMY. Never heard of ONE guy who got it back. Hope this gives you some inside information to make your future decisions. E-mail me if I can answer any questions for you. Good luck SKYBOW I had to change the spelling on some words to get by the censors. sorry
