Baked hay for the neighbor yesterday and the tractor and baler never missed a lick. Well today baled my hay and from the get go problems. To start with the flywheel shear bolt had fallen out at some point so no go on the baler. Put in a new one and off I went. Got maybe 10 or so bales done and the shear bolt had lost the nut and yes I had tighten it up. Put on another new one but this time with a lock washer. Got almost done and the D-17 ran out of gas. Go figure I had put 5 gal in yesterday and just did a little over 100 bales and drove it 3 miles then today at around 95 bales on my place it ran out. Guess that is not to bad 200 bales of hay and about 3 miles drive on 5 gal. of gas. And the NH271 only missed one knot and that was when it switched from one roll of twine to the next
