Your right, radar was used early on to calculate G.P.A. We have a truck we use to spray roadsides. Radar gun quit on it so we "tricked" the computer into thinking the truck was traveling 15 mph, we use a handheld GPS to keep the speed where it should be. New unit, if we can find one is $3500, but it"s so antiquated, its not worth it. We"ll replace it with a GPS unit once we get $10,000 extra for a roadside spray truck set-up!
