cj You have been given some very good advice already and all I can add are a few thoughs as a owner of a 2630 now for 18 years. This 2630 has been a very good tractor even though it has needed some work from time to time. I had it overhauled at 6500 hours due to leaking O rings on the bottom of the sleeves and that was about 1000 hours ago. It is important to keep good track of the antifreeze and change often so you can avoid the problem of pitted sleeves. Use only John Deere's Hy Guard in the transmission as some other lubes can break down the brake linings. I have a Deere 145 loader on this one and it is a handy unit. At 70 hp the tractor does everything I need from it. If you don't mind a utility tractor where you straddle the transmission it will do fine. I had a 3010 before and did miss the platform for awhile. This one has the HY Low option and I love it. The option gives 16 forward speeds and 8 in reverse. Good luck with the 2630 should you go ahead with the deal. Larry

In this series we are going to investigate and learn the basic rudimentary skills of understanding this lingo.
