I finally got around to pulling the injectors out of my Ford 3000 last night. It's been blowing blue clouds for a while now, I just haven't made the time to get to it. The tips of all the injectors were covered in carbon flakes, I'm taking them to be rebuilt today.
I can also see some flakes left in the bottom of the mounting hole. What should I do about them? Should I just knock them off when I reinstall the injectors or leave them alone? I realize pulling the head is probably the best choice, but I don't have the time for that much of a project right now.
