Roy - This happens often to both my 1650 and 1850 if they're not used for a few months. My solution:
Start the engine and idle it as slow as it will go. Put the Hydrapower in under then "snap" the gear lever into 1st. (Don't worry - it won't hurt the transmission!) Now run the tractor to a hard driveway (ie. where's there's no traffic...) then with the engine idling "snap shift" it thru the gears into 5th or 6th/direct. Next depress the clutch fully, then open the throttle and stomp on the brakes. As the engine loads up the clutch will suddenly break free and will work normally afterward.
