Hi, We were out cutting cutting hay today. The left side drive just quit on a Hesston 620 swather. No noise or anything. Took the plate off and the chain was off the drive sprocket from the hydraulic drive motor. The idler bearing appeared to be broken. Never seen it before but it had no sprocket, no bearing balls, and no outer bearing part. We can't even tell what if anything the chain was riding on except a curved surface part of which was missing. Fished the chain and it was ok and couldn't find any links to break it apart either. And there is hardly enough slack for the idler to do much anyway. We fished the bottom of the chain drive housing with a magnet and an wire and didn't come up with any metal parts or feel anything laying in there.
Anyone know what the deal is? Going to see if Orscheln or TSC has a new one.
