Im 73 and problems seem to hit harder now.I have heart trouble and that has set me back alot.I got the kitchen chimney plugged up tight yesterday, called my son for help. Most of my friends are older than me so I have to get help from my son some times.I think he has come to understand that age and illness has done a number on me.Doctor told me 10 years ago that I cant expect to work like I did when younger.I have a good friend who helps me , but his health is failing.I have to take my dog to the vet this afternoon. That scares me a lot as he is a good friend I would rather be sick instead of him.My sons truck needs tires and I have cash to help him with that. When trouble strikes now I feel so alone but I get thru it .My nephews came up and helped fill the woodshed and get some logs ready fot hauling to my sawmill. My son ,granddaughters boy friend and I sawed the logs last weeked end.I did some welding for Brock while my son sawed out some boards and a 8x8x16.I put in 6 hours and was lame the next day.Cant get the hay in this year, will have to buy some.Ive got 2 cows and a steer left.I have a good wife to help me when things go wrong. We have been together for 55 years.Have a talk with your son and ask him where you can help with his problems. My son is a carpenter, when his air compressor wore out I took money I got from selling fire wood and bought 2 compressors. I gave him one and he got some work for 2 weeks that needed a nail gun.He is working 200 miles from home but gets home weekends. Many old friends have passed on,This hurts alot but Im still here to help when I can.
