Interesting point made by kyhayman (who I assume is from KY)---while most states (to the extent of my out-of-touch knowledge) don"t maintain imprisonment for unpaid debt (that"s Debtor"s Prison), except for alimony/child support, a few seem to"ve wandered over the Debtor"s Prison line... Their basis being, of course, that the local judge has the authority to decree/order a payment plan (which to me seems a stretch) and if unmet imprisons the debtor for contempt of court, not for owing the debt, a nice little bit (in my opinion) of judicial dancing. I don"t know if any of these have been tested by State or the Fed Supremes... John T/Mike(WA)/Dave H: anything on these cases being upheld by higher courts?? Dave H: 100% collections?? Now, that"s remarkable...
