I'm no legal expert, but I do fall under the category of "other".
About 10 years ago my mother got clipped for $7,000 for home repairs from a contractor that had a fancy add in the yellow pages. She wanted work done and paid the guy up front as did several others as the law suits all went. Like the others, my mother got a judgement for the full amount and all seemed good. Then it happened. The guy filed for bankruptcy and that cleared his slate, erasing the judgements against him from everyone, including my mother. She took the matter back to court, they said, "Nothing can do", and that was that. Right after that happened, the guy packed up all of his stuff in Elkhart, IN. and high tailed it to Dallas, TX, where I assume he went into the business of giving innocent folks the business of taking them. I went over to his house to clean it up for Mom, but it was setting empty and his neighbors said he and his wife headed to the Lone Star State. I've always been hopeful that he pulled that stuff on the wrong person down there, and what's left of him is lying in the desert somewhere, picked clean by buzzards if you know what I mean. Hey, I can hope...

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
