When I was a Claims Adjuster, we used to process some of Warranty Gold's claims. And I can't imagine oil changes being covered unless the price of anticipated oil changes were added to the cost of the contract. However, if you have an engine failure, you'd better be able to prove you had the oil changes done at the appropriate times.
BTW, what most people refer to as a "warranty" is actually a service contract. There's a big difference. Warranties cover defective parts, service contracts cover parts that fail from use. A warranty covers a part that was defective when manufactured, a service contract is an agreement to pay for certain stated parts if they fail during a certain amount of time.
I could expound on the warranty/service contract business for hours, but it's bedtime.
