I didn't know that. Decades back we had a Hydrostat Cub Cadet. It was a model 107 that we bought new in about '72. I don't ever remember it leaking, but did burn a valve in the 10 HP Kohler. I guess I was about 13 or 14 and did my first ever valve job on that thing using a rubber suction cupped toy arrow and some abrasive cream from a parts store. Worked out ok as I recall. An old farmer showed me that. I thought he was doing it to make fun of me, but he helped. Worked out ok, I think. Do't remember for sure now.
