801 is the series of the tractor. There where a number of models of the 801 made. The common ones being the 841 which had a 4 speed and non live PTO. The 851 which was a 5 speed with non live PTO the 861 which was a 5 speed with live PTO the 871 which was the SOS and live PTO and the 881 which was the SOS and had a 2 speed live PTO., There are a few other models also. Model and serial numbers are found on a flat spot just below the battery box towards the rear end from the start
