Most of the major hose and fittings makers have "Reusable fittings". Aeroquip is the major manufacturer, Parker, and others have them. The concept started in WWII when disabled air- planes, where ever they landed to be repaired, only needed hose, the reusable ends were already in place. Thats also where the JIC, ("Joint industry conference") 37 degree flare which is now a world aviation/aerospace standard evolved. An aircraft landing in any country would have a standard fitting and flared tubing available for replacement. Some farm stores sell a nipple thats pushed into a hose, and a clamp is bolted in place. It's probably ok for a low pressure system, say, 1500 PSI or less. For higher pressures the 2 piece reusable, with a socket that screws onto the hose and a nipple that threads into the socket is preferable. Reusable fittings MUST be MATCHED properly to the hose style. Sockets are specific to 1 or 2 wire hose.. mixing incorrect types invites blowoff problems !
