Drive both kinds before you buy- world of difference in shifting and convenience. PS likely to last longer, but more expensive to repair. Have a qualified tech do the pressure checks on a PS to test condition. I"ve driven synchro- would never buy one. The five PS I have/had have provided good service. One over 11000 hrs, several had 8-10.
