I have a 67 4020 diesel with syncro. its got 11000 hrs on it. I love it. Sometimes I wish I had a ps but most of the time Im glad i dont when I have to go from forward to reverse much. If your gonna have a loader my opinion is syncro definately. You can drop from 2nd to reverse with a push of the clutch and a throw down of the hand were with a ps you have to drop down from your forward gears and the slide over and up to go to reverse. We had 3 4020s on greatgrandpas farm. 2syncro and one ps all were 69 models and bought at the same time. We only used our ps to plant with and bail. Another down fall on a ps is that if you break a hyd hose and loose much oil ur tractor wont go and your stuck wear it sits and your walkin from all the way at the back of the field to your pick up to get the stuff you need to fix it. Both are good as far as durability I just favore my syncro for what I do with mine. Either way 4020 is a good tractor and you wont be disappointed with it.
